Walter Surface Technologies Provides an Operational Update Regarding
COVID-19

Dear member of the Walter community,

Walter continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation as the health and safety of our employees and customers remains a top priority. In the past few days, several Canadian provinces and/or U.S. states have taken steps to restrict the activities of non-essential businesses. In all of these cases, Walter’s activities have been recognized as essential, and we remain fully operational. We continue to maintain adequate inventory levels of all of our mechanical solutions to support business operations and do not anticipate any service level impacts at this point in time. We are monitoring the situation daily, and will inform you if any changes arise.

In addition, we are responding to this time of need by further investing in our chemical manufacturing facilities. We are increasing production of our Gold Matrix Ready and UNO surface cleaning products, which have a pH above 12, to respond to a growing need for surface cleaning across all industries. We are also doing our part to assist with the increasing demand for hand sanitizer by producing a new solution that is 70% alcohol by volume. As we shift more of our production to meet these urgent market needs, we ask for your patience as normal production schedules are adjusted reprioritized, resulting in shipments of select chemical products potentially being delayed by several days. We will remain proactive in our communication to ensure our mutual customers remain well-served in the coming days and weeks.
